Wes ‘Stiff’ Collins lived life on the wild side. He worked from the moment he knew what the word meant, always making the best of every situation. There was nothing about his past he would change. Without a real family except his brother Xander, Stiff joined the Vipers Creed Motorcycle Club, and they taught him what it was to have people he could depend on. When his past crashed into his present, he vowed to protect the club that had always been his steady, even if it meant turning his back on the woman who had given him life. Chelsea Miller’s life was simple: work, take care of her family, and save for the future. Everything was about having a goal and a plan. However, when her sister ended up battered and bruised on a diner floor, everything she thought was in her past suddenly threatened her future. In a moment, she had a new goal, everything else be damned. She would protect her family … at all costs. Stiff and Chelsea’s worlds collide in an explosion of determination, strength, and lust. Will they give in to temptation, or will conquering each other be too steep a price? Two people not afraid to put in the work will either overcome everything in their paths or finally crumble under life’s troubles they can’t escape, all in the name of family. **Due to content, mature audiences only.**

So many readers asked for more stories in my bestselling Hard Ink series, and I’m so excited to be able to give you just that in my new, super sexy HARD TO SERVE! HARD TO SERVE is an edgy stand-alone love story about a Baltimore police detective whose red-hot BDSM relationship with a new submissive seems like the perfect distraction from a trumped-up investigation against him until he learns that the woman is his boss’s daughter. Talk about sparks flying! I had so much fun writing this book, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it! And if you enjoy it, you might like to check out the whole Hard Ink series, now complete! Happy reading!

Mia found herself alone with a kinda pissed-off looking Master Kyler. He wore angry well. As in, the harshness of the set of his jaw and the tight press of his lips and the narrow cut of his eyes—they were all hot, especially coming from a Dom. But she didn’t understand it.

“Um. Hello, Sir,” she finally said when he didn’t say anything.

“Mia,” he said, his gaze raking over her. “You look absolutely stunning tonight.” His voice was like gravel, rough and strained.

“Thank you. Are you okay, Sir?” she asked.

He shook his head. “I don’t…I don’t know.”

“Do you want to sit and talk?” Mia asked, concern for him flooding her.

Suddenly, Kyler pinned her to the cool wall. He braced his hands on either side of her head, and he was erect against her belly. She wanted to drop into a crouch and take him into her mouth. “Do you want vulgar honesty or watered-down politeness?” he asked.

The promise of those words made her core clench with need. “Vulgar honesty.”

He nailed her with a blue-eyed stare. “I don’t want to sit and talk. I want to fuck. Hard. I want to be aggressive. Maybe I even want to be a little mean.”

Mia’s heart was suddenly a runaway train in her chest. Because, sign her up! She let out a shaky breath. “That sounds…like someone’s going to have a good night,” she managed.

Kyler dropped his head to her shoulder on a groan. He knocked his forehead against the bone there once, twice.

“Did I say the wrong thing?” she asked. Because he was totally confusing her.

“That’s the thing, Mia. I don’t know.” He lifted his gaze to hers again.

“How can I help?” she asked.

For a moment, he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, and when he opened them, it was like he’d centered himself and made some kind of resolution. “Are you game for what I just described?” He fingered the chunky silver-and-gold choker she wore around her neck.

Heat swept over her, her body already answering, already preparing. “Yes, Sir. I am.”

He gave a tight nod and backed up a step. “Let me show you the room I have in mind.” Taking her hand, he led her down the long hallway that shot off the side of the nave. She wasn’t sure if this was still part of the church building or something else, but she didn’t have long to wonder before Kyler stopped at a door and keyed in a code.

Lights came on as the door opened, and Kyler guided her inside with his hand at the small of her back.

Just the room’s theme turned Mia on. Concrete floor. Cinder-block walls with peeling paint. Light thrown from bare light bulbs surrounded by little cages. An iron cot bed with only a white fitted sheet. Rusted metal cabinet at the side that undoubtedly held a variety of toys and supplies. It looked like a basement or a warehouse—a place where a woman in a beautiful cocktail dress had no business being. A role started taking shape in her mind.

“Do you see where my head is tonight, Mia?” Master Kyler asked, his body almost rigid with tension.

God, she was going to enjoy helping him work out whatever had him so wound up. “Yes, Sir.”

To protect and serve is all Detective Kyler Vance ever wanted to do, so when Internal Affairs investigates him as part of the new police commissioner’s bid to oust corruption, everything is on the line. Which makes meeting a smart, gorgeous submissive at an exclusive play club the perfect distraction…

The director of the city’s hottest art gallery, Mia Breslin’s career is golden. Now if only she could find a man to dominate her nights and set her body—and her heart—on fire. When a scorching scene with a hard-bodied, brooding Dom at Blasphemy promises just that, Mia is lured to serve Kyler again and again. As their relationship burns hotter, Kyler runs into Mia at work and learns that he’s been dominating the daughter of the hard-ass boss who has it in for him. Now Kyler must choose between life-long duty and forbidden desire before Mia finds another who’s not so hard to serve.

Greg’s open trap of tumbling food is enough to turn my stomach and dissolve any appetite I had when I walked into this restaurant. “That’s pretty cool. I bet you’re a great teacher. I mean I would have loved to get you as my teacher back in the day. I never had a hot teacher,” he mumbles while chewing. Chew. Chew. Chew. I swallow the bile that’s threatening to make an appearance when his bushy eyebrows wiggle like some sort of caterpillar walking across his forehead. I hate my sister. It’s official. I have the worst sister in the world. I don’t know what I ever did to Trysta to make her hate me enough to subject me to this kind of torture. “Go on a blind date,” she said. “It’ll be fun,” she said. “Greg’s so adorable; like a puppy,” yada yada yada. Apparently my sister is mean and blind. And don’t get me started on her lack of hearing, because if she really had to sit in the same room with this guy while he ate, there’s no way in hell she ever would have set me up with this clown. “So, what do you do at The Mirage?” Please let him say pit boss. Please! “I’m a custodial engineer,” he says while shoveling a heaping pile of steamed broccoli into his face. “Custodial engineer?” I ask more to myself than to him. I have a pretty good idea where this is going. “Yeah. I clean the restrooms, mop the floors, and pick up after the rich gamblers. But I’m not a maid,” he informs me sternly. “No, I don’t clean the rooms. I do more of the general grounds of the casinos. I’ve been there for six years now, and have worked my way up to the blackjack room. Someday, I hope to hit it big and get the High Roller Room. But, the guy that cleans that room now is really good and has been there for like twenty years. Your sister is one of everyone’s favorite cocktail waitresses in the High Roller Room. Nice girl; big boobs like yours.” “Wow, that’s…yeah.” “Have I told you that I have a teacher fantasy?” Greg asks, a few pieces of cheesy noodles flying from his pie hole. “Excuse me?” I ask, praying to God that this conversation isn’t about to turn in the direction I’m fearing. Greg leans forward enough so that his blue and green polka dotted tie featuring two animated dinosaurs on the front dips into his plate of cheese sauce. “Oh, yeah. Hot teacher asks me to return after class. When I walk in, she’s got her long ruler in her hand and uses it on my -” “That’s nice and all, but it’s getting late,” I say with a little more force than I intend. “Oh. But we’re still eating the main entrĂ©e. We haven’t even gotten to dessert yet,” he says with an insinuating smile while wagging those caterpillar-like eyebrows again. “Yeah, well, it’s getting late and I have class tomorrow,” I reply while depositing my cloth napkin down on the tabletop. Greg doesn’t realize that it’s Friday and I don’t actually have class tomorrow. If he asks, though, I’m pleading Saturday detention duty. Greg stands up when I do and walks around to my side of the table. A drop of the sauce is sitting on his chin like a big neon sign. Like a zit, my eyes are glued to that little dripping of food. In fact, I’m staring so long that it takes me a second to realize that the drop of goo is moving towards me. I snap out of my trance just in time to divert my lips away from Greg’s. He places a wet kiss that reminds me of a dog, on my cheek. “Are you sure you have to go home now? I thought maybe we could go back to my place tonight. My mom is out at Bridge Club so she won’t be home for at least another hour. Plenty of time to drive home and get disciplined by a hot teacher,” he says, baring his coffee stained teeth. And that’s the moment my stomach actually rolls and I fear I’m going to blow chow all over the front of his dull white shirt, elementary neck tie, and wrinkled khakis; all in front of Vegas’ middle class at a mom and pop Italian restaurant. “Oh,” I start with a laugh. “I don’t think so, Greg. It was really nice to meet you,” I lie while digging out a handful of bills from my pocketbook. I drop just enough to cover my portion of the bill and a tip. Let Mr. Can’t Chew With His Mouth Closed pay for his own meal. “It was really nice to meet you, Dena,” he says. “It’s Dani, actually,” I mumble while grabbing my wrap from the back of the chair and whipping it over the shoulders of my navy blue dress. “Dani? Are you sure? I could have sworn your sister said your name was Dena.” “Nope, I’m pretty sure it’s Dani,” I reply, voice dripping with sarcasm, before turning and walking away. I don’t stop. I keep walking straight out of the restaurant, even though Greg is still talking behind me. I don’t stop until I’m sliding into the driver’s seat of my 6-year-old Toyota Camry. My hands are still shaking as I slip the key into the ignition and start the car. I’m definitely ready to go home and drown in a bottle of wine and a bubble bath. The Copula Chronicles

The Copula Chronicles:
“An origin is supposed to be the beginning of everything, but I fear it’s the end...for me... for all of us. My name is Jesca Sera, my reality has been pierced and it is with absolute certainty that nothing will ever be the same in our world again. “ ~ Jesca

Jesca’s life is full of averages; average childhood, average family, average part-time job with her best friend while she attends college close to home. Life is predictable, controlled, consistent, just the way she likes it, until the odds of averages turns against her and the oddity that that has remained dormant within her can no longer be contained.

Under the surface, Jesca’s strong-hold with reality is slowly slipping away. The seemingly harmless nightmares of her youth have turned sinister with ill intention and a realness meant to provoke true terror. The minor trick of the eye revealing a shadow or glimmer of light becomes vivid hallucinations intent on terrorizing her. Her fear reaches extremes when her professor’s presence coincides with her losing touch with reality, leaving Jesca questioning his stalking motives or influence on her shifting sanity. Confronting him is the only answer, and when she does, she is faced with an inconceivable explanation as to why her life is turning upside down; her role as a keeper of our world to save humanity from a potentially unstoppably apocalyptic catastrophe. Upon learning her purpose, Jesca is thrust into a new world of guardianship where training to use her new found abilities is the life-blood of survival for her and the tribe of guardians.

About: The Copula Chronicles, Origin, is a roller coaster ride straight into an unreality - speculative, yet plausible. It’s intent on spinning you around in the alternate history of origins of the new world Jesca has been thrust into, theories of genetic engineering and architects of a device meant to create travel within space and time through the cosmos. Make no mistake, your reality will be turned upside down with the techno-thriller plausibilities of what our world and its inhabitants could possess within. When all is said and done, you will find yourself planted in a new reality of weighty urban fantasy with profound thought-provoking conspiracies of the spiritual and scientific link to our existence and what our world may become now that Jesca’s new reality has been set into motion. Strap in for the ride.
Origin, Book 1
Ezra’s office is substantial for a professor. We sit at his desk opposite each other and eat in silence. I mainly pick, too wrapped up in what he has to tell me. As Ezra eats, my interest settles on an ant farm.
I give a sarcastic-filled mumble, “Friends of yours?”
I remember having an ant farm when I was eight years old. I’d sit for hours giving each of them names and create elaborate stories in which they starred. They each had a distinct job in the farm and their purpose was survival divided into bad days—ants trapped or waiting for death—and good days—ants being rescued or digging a new tunnel to the unknown. I was al- ways so excited for them when they cleared a new passage. I knew the big picture of the farm, while they could only see millimeters ahead of themselves.
“They’re fascinating little creatures, aren’t they?”
Ezra is watching me gaze upon the ant farm. “They’re creating their own world in there. Each has a purpose. Each has a significant part in the functionality and nature of their survival individually and cumulatively. Some make good choices and some make bad ones. The natural balance of good and bad reveals itself in everything at some point in time.”
He wipes his mouth with his napkin and tosses it into the wastebasket next to his desk. “You know, we’re just like those ants.”
“Oh, really? How’s that?”
“Remember our conversation the first time we ran into each other at Margot’s?”
I nod and keep my response to the point, wanting to know why I’m sitting here with my professor who seems to know more about me than I do. “Wormholes, Einstein, negative mass, multi-universes.”
Ezra leans back and rests his hand on the arms rests of the chair. “Well, these little ants are in a pursuit just as many of us are. They want to cut out new tunnels with the hopes of finding something greater than what they have. Sometimes they tunnel and find they’ve gone nowhere. Other times, they tunnel, get trapped, and need to be saved. Sometimes there’s mutiny against one. The others either save it or kill and eat it to keep their expanding world unpolluted.”
I don’t know where this is going. “Yeah, well that’s disgusting. Listen, you said you were going to tell me what’s going on!”
I lean back in my chair. “I’d really like to get home, so if we could just get this over with that would be great.”
Ezra’s gaze is steady as he speaks evenly. “As a child you were adopted by the Sera family. You have a younger sister, biological to the Sera’s. Her name is Bethany. Your best friend is Elicia Montgomery. You’ve been inseparable since you were three years old. You have nightmares, but only one that’s become more frequent and vivid in the recent weeks. You’re also experiencing unexplainable abilities.”
I put my hand up to stop him. “Whoa! How do you know about me, my life and my family? You know, I could report you to the dean of students. I don’t need this shit in my life right now!”
I rise up from my chair intent on leaving, but his words keep me from moving. “Roan and Delilah are old friends. We’re very close. And reporting me to the Dean of Students will do nothing for you. You’ve got nothing to go on.”
Did he just call my bluff. Son of a bitch!
I flop down in the seat as my voice quivers with rage. “Who the hell are you and how do you know my parents?”

“A descendant of the architect that pierced my reality, leaving me and the others the responsibiity to inherit the earth then save it from those we never fathomed existed among us. My name is Jesca Sera, my reality has been pierced and it is with absolute certainty that nothing will ever be the same in our world again.” ~ Jesca

The uncovered corruption and conspiracy upon our world paired with the impending catastrophic event honed in on our galaxy threatening invasion and evolution of our world lies in the hands of Jesca and the other guardians that have inherited the earth. The corruption of our world is spreading like wildfire, the between allies and enemies are being blurred, and Jesca’s growing attraction to the two men fighting for her heart could leave her vulnerable. Jesca and her fellow guardians’ fortitude is further pressed when their battle for earth takes them to the far reaches of Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, where the mysticism it covets brings weighted supernatural challenges they could never have anticipated. The predestined links she and the guardians share will either keep them safe or send them into a tailspin of sacrifices that may leave one if not all of them threatened.

About: The Copula Chronicles, Descend, pulls you deeper into the inherited reality Jesca and her new found clan of guardians are forced to surrender to in order to attempt salvation for humanity. The reality of genetic manipulation, ancient myths and theories, and the immediate threat of extra-terrestrial abduction and invasion are revealed in this second installment of the Copula Chronicles. Edge of your seat techno-thrilling conspiracies paired with dramatic mystery, suspense, and sacrifices are fulfilled in this spiraling global cataclysm Jesca and the guardians are faced with at every turn.

“With the breach of our world by those intent on invading it, a veil has been opened, giving way to the evolution we needed to stop. Now, I must ascend this veil that has released boundless evil into our world. This inheritance I posses is the key to a legacy bestowed to me; one that I have not yet discovered. My name is Jesca Sera. My reality has been pierced and it is with absolute certainty that nothing will ever be the same in our world again.” ~ Jesca

With the guardians attempt to stop the global invasion and apocalyptic evolution of the earth, two of the men in Jesca’s life have made the ultimate sacrifice in a daring attempt to save her from near death and keep the veil, a celestial barrier meant to separate our universe from all others, from remaining open. The fate of Ezra and Nate is dismal unless Jesca, Xander, and the other guardians can find a way to get them back, while destroying the evil that has seeped into our world, and sealing the ethereal veil between our universe and the evil that lie beyond it. As Jesca ascends beyond the veil, malignant illusions meant to turn allies against one another are at every turn in this parallel universe. One truth among the illusions is bestowed to Jesca; the celestial inheritance from her ancestors along with the prophecies of what is to come of the guardians and earth.

About: The Copula Chronicles, Ascend, takes you beyond the veil of our world and into one beholding the supernatural, spiritual, psychological and techno-thrilling futurism in terrifyingly perfect harmony.

“I have returned to an evolved earth. A place I no longer recognize. A self I no longer recognize. My name is Jesca Sera. My reality has been pierced and it is with absolute certainty that nothing will ever be the same in our world again. One thing is certain. I hold the blueprint of our salvation.” ~ Jesca

With Jesca’s return from beyond the veil with Xander, Nate, and Ezra, they are ushered into our evolved world having advanced years since their departure.
The earth’s remaining populous that survived the galactic intersection, the following climatic shifts, and the rigorous genetic manipulation has been stunted by the very beings Jesca and the others encountered beyond the veil. Humankind is being invaded, occupied, and destroyed under their invisible reign. The beings intent? To possess our world and stop Jesca and the other guardians from fulfilling the legacy that could save us all. We are left to hit the ground running upon their return as Jesca brings home new found knowledge of her ancient bloodline and the supernal legacy that has linked her family, the guardians, and the two men she has been torn between throughout her journey. With only Jesca’s visions of what this ancient legacy holds for them, the guardians are depending on the divining glimpses of her ancestry to put them on the path leading to salvation.
The question is, will the stakes be too high and the risk to great for Jesca and the guardians to fulfill their destiny?

K. Margaret

Hey everyone, my name is K. Margaret and I write paranormal romance.  I currently live right outside of Atlanta, Georgia, by way of Northern California and Connecticut. When I’m not writing, I’m working as a title paralegal, hanging out with my teenage daughter, or watching sports. I have a slight (okay, maybe large) obsession with sports. I’m the crazy chick that wakes up to the NFL Network when most people wake up to the morning news.

I started writing poetry as a child, but didn’t really get into writing fiction until I was in my twenties. My best friend and I would sit around and tell stories and one day I decided I needed to put those stories on paper. The voices in my head also demanded it, especially one particular demon. We’ll call her Empusa.

I released my first book, Dare to Dream, last November, which is also the first book in my Dark Dreams Series.  Endless Nightmare: The Origin of a Demon was released last month. And Dreams in the Dark, Book Two of the Dark Dreams Series is being released at AAD and I’m so excited to introduce you to new characters and check in on some old ones. My books are filled with demons, witches, shifters, slayers, gods, and more. I love to write strong-headed, sarcastic, kickass females and the men who put up with them.

While I have attended AAD several times as a reader, this year will be my first year attending as an author and I’m so excited! I have so much planned and lots of fun stuff to give away. If you’re sitting at my table for the Debut Dinner, you’ll find out all about my favorite saying, WWED (What Would Empusa Do?). We’ll be going a little demon on that one! For my Fantasy Ball table, the theme is witches, but not just any witch. Dreams in the Dark takes place in Savannah and one of the characters is a witch named Tiffany. She’s a total trip and a half, so I couldn’t think of a more perfect setting to base my theme around her and her shop, The Triple Goddess.  Don’t worry though, if you’re not sitting at my tables you’ll be able to find me at other events. I’ll be one of the authors hosting breakfast on Thursday morning, attending the New Release Party, and I’ll be at the Literary Tea (with more fun swag!) Thursday night, you’ll find me down at Smiles, my favorite piano bar. So make sure to stop by, have a drink with me and sing along (just don’t make fun of my horrible singing voice J )

I’ll be getting to Savannah on Monday, so make sure you find me and say hello. The first three people who ask me “What would Empusa do?’ I have a special gift for.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in August!

Dr. Fitzgerald isn't interested in a meaningless fling with a pop star--not to mention it's unethical to date a patient. But when the two cross paths ten months later at a Beverly Hills charity gala, they're unable to take their eyes off each other as they exchange verbal jabs about his bigheadedness and her provocativeness.

Warren, who's cheated on girlfriends in the past, is ready to hit the brakes and fulfill his lifelong desire to become a dad. Annabelle, who's ten years his junior, is focused on carving out a creative path all her own. What happens when a sparkling presence, a girl born to entertain, becomes entangled with a grounded, strong-willed man who might rein in her exuberance or drive her head over heels?

On her way out, Annabelle stopped in the front lobby to sign the program for a young lesbian couple in matching blazers and spotted Dr. Fitzgerald heading to the door. She called to him, “Good night.” When she stepped outside, he was looking her way as he waited in line by the valet stand. He buttoned his earth-brown coat with his left hand and waved her over with his right. She meandered toward him, in no rush. “Hey, listen,” he said, “there’s a diner by the old port that opens early. At sunrise, the whole area including the boardwalk is preternaturally calm.” It was only half past one. Pitch-black outside. “You want to go to breakfast?” she blurted out with a twang. “I’m off today. Are you busy…later this morning?” “Well, well, well, how about this for an about-face.” He stood tall, waiting for an answer, both hands dug deep into his pants pockets. Spreading her arms, she ascended into a slow pirouette to prolong his wait, drawing attention from the crowd shuffling down the carpeted steps of the main entrance to the hotel. Landing her turn like a professional, she asked, “What time?” “Seven?” “Seven a.m.!” “Why not?” he asked. Did it occur to him that he’d seen her naked from the waist down…and been flashed by her bare breasts when he checked her breathing after surgery? Before exiting the hotel, she had stopped at the woman’s lounge and checked herself out in the mirrors. Sans tight dress or push-up bra, she looked pretty with a soft touch of makeup and a slight sheen from her excitement about running into him. He reached for her parking ticket, his fingertips brushing against her palm, then pivoted toward the valet dressed in tails and requested that her car be brought first. His decisiveness was potent in a way that was such a turn-on. The luxurious cashmere-like fabric of his suit jacket was inches from her touch, tempting her. Nobody who dressed as he did was alone on Saturday nights. His self-possession, his lack of hesitation, was similar yet different from his authority back at the hospital—and similar yet different from his hauteur when he dismissed her from his office. “Uh, I’m going to have to ask you for a third time about your girlfriend,” she said when he finished conversing with the valet. “I heard you were living with someone?” “Right. I don’t believe you know Lorraine, do you?” “That’s why I keep asking.” Neither her courage nor her smile failed her. She would say what she wanted to say. Rocking from one foot to the other, she was nothing if not light on her feet. “Perhaps it’s time you called Rochelle at the hospital…to catch up on things.” It was true she hadn’t texted Rochelle in a while. It was over ten months since she had been rushed to the hospital in pain and almost as long since Rochelle first filled her in on his relationship with the professor of women’s studies. “Anyway, I’m off on a serious errand,” he said. “I need to visit a former colleague who’s struggling with some personal issues.” “At one a.m.?” she exclaimed. “There’s a halfway house near the diner I mentioned. The middle of the night is when there are no AA meetings, and he’s having a bit of a crisis at the moment.” His voice was steady, no hitches. “So what do you say? Will you meet me afterward for breakfast?” Few guys could pull off looking confident without overdoing the I’m-cool-and-unconcerned act, but she could tell it wouldn’t be awkward if she said, “No, I’m too tired.” “I guess I can make it…on only five hours sleep,” she said. “I don’t have much planned for today, except the most boring meeting at noon to go over hair and makeup, so you better be entertaining.”
